I stood, on the edge of a tall building, the Toys R Us sign below me, the starry sky above me. The night breeze tugged at my clothing.
I don't quite know quite how I got up there, and I'm not sure I want to. Even the fact taht I was up so high didn't seem to bother me, in the slightest. Maybe it was the darkeness... Suddenly, lights could be seen entering the parking lot below.

The police car pulled up, and an officer stepped out of the car. A spotlight flashed on, illuminating the area around me. It was bright, so very bright, I shielded my eyes. The wind began to pick up, and was no longer tugging, but ripping at my clothing.
"Son!" The officer said into his megaphone, "Can you hear me?"
I nodded
The officer yelled again, "Jump!"
I blinked.... he was telling me to jump?? "What?!?!" I yelled back... I must have heard wrong.. Had to have been the wind.
"I said.... JUMP!" he repeated, "I didn't come all this way for nothing! I want something to tell the Mrs."
Weird... well, if he wanted me to, it must be okay. I may as well.
Swan-dive into a pike, and down I went.
The wind whistled in my ears. I pulled out of the pike, and belly flopped onto the pavement. I sat up... I felt.... fine. No blood.... Alive... Weird. The cop wasn't gonna like that.. I was right.
He had gotten into his car, and was speeding towards me. I put my hands up, to shield my face.
