I recently started to reread the DragonLance novels in my collection chronologically. The Dragons of Krynn is a series of collected short stories from the Cataclysm days to the War of the Lance time period. As with most anthologies from the DragonLance and Forgotten Realms series, this volume comes off with a mixed bag of stories. Most of them are utterly forgettable just a few minutes after reading them. There are a few decent stories but only one really stood out. That being the story 'The Best' about a group of elite hunters recruited to steal a evil dragon's treasure. It had a very good plot twist that actually helps to expand on the character traits and the deviousness of dragons. For an anthology that supposedly revolves around dragons, alot of these short stories didn't even have a dragon in them and most of the ones that do show them, treat as one dimensional characters. In conclusion, I recommend this novel to the hardcore DragonLance fan. This being the person that would of bought this book already prior to reading this review. The characters in this story is absolutely forgettable and the plot is so drab that it'll be a good while before you decide to dust this one off your book shelf for a reread.
