They Come in 3's

The first comes as a warning
letting you be cautious
but again, you wait and ponder for pardon
and waiting for things to clear up.

The second comes as a validation of the first
holding anger for the last of the 3's
but again, hoping chances of repeating are slim
and you wait for the last of the blows.

The third has finally arrived
the coming like a mother on labor
pain and blood is wasted to end and to start
Forgiveness and understanding are words erased after.

I have given enough space for errors
and I won't allow you to mess it up again.
