If I Was A River

If I Was A River

Morning's fingers gently caressing my neck
Awakening to the dew gently stroking my palms
The mist parts as I slowly embrace the dawn's awakening.
feeling my heart pushing me down forcefully to slumber.
Amidst the beauty in front of me, the body feels drowned
Drowned under dark waters that slowly drains the air I breathe.
I, the river, awaits patiently to feel your presence
You, the rain that fills the land with life and vigority.
A touch from your hand fills this shallow and barren soul
Emptying yourself upon me, makes my level deeper.
But again, lullnes of tides makes the raging to slumber
Casting a stone makes no ripple on this dead river.
Waiting for the rain to pour for movement.
Awaiting for the similar soul to fuse
To force this body to flow for movement.

I am gnashing my teeth to the gums.
