Mentor

As I got to know things better
You tried to tell me the truth.
I listen to you no longer.
At times myself I loathe.

I tried to ignore your words of wisdom
with my MIND and HEART shut.
You tried to open my eyes to freedom,
quiet but felt my heart cut.

With mind that venture from a world to another
There I felt the ice melting.
Right there and then, the braking of the border
And now, I felt loving and caring.

There I know I'll respect you and therefore,
You are right and that's why you're my mentor.
