| What does GAP do for you? GAP gives you the chance to live and work in a completely new environment with the security of knowing that the placement you are going to has been checked by GAP staff, that you will have the chance to discuss your aspirations with your project manager, to make sure that you have the best match, and that you will have someone on hand over seas, should you need support or advice. There is a great deal more to volunteering than just turning up somewhere with a desire to help out. GAP has arranged over 17,000 successful placements all over the world since it started nearly 30 years ago, therefore having the experience for a successful year out. GAP not only looks after you whilst you are on placement but also before and after with discussion sessions throughout and "meet up" meeting after your placement has finished. Finally, after 12 months, you will be invited to join GAP's unique Business Partnership Scheme which puts you in touch with leading graduate recruiters either for vacation placements or for graduate entry.
