Welcome to Sophie's Page!
hi, everyone. well i'm finally getting into this website thing. anyway in case you haven't seen my site since i've updated it, i haven't got any of my own photos at the moment- as it's really expensive to them developed my films over here so i'm sending them back to england to be processed then i'll hopefully get them sent back here so i can put some on here for you to see. so, i've copied some of erin's and put them onto my site (see my photo page) for now, until i get mine back. i'm going to try and update it every week so you can see what i've been up to.
the school is in pattaya- i would draw an arrow but i haven't worked out how to do that yet!
krabi and ko phi phi are where we went in our holiday

The Regents School
i'm having such a fab (or as all the aussie gappies would say awesome!) time here in thailand (though i'm really missing salt and vinegar crisps!! also i managed to get hold of some marmite the other day i didn't realise quite how much i missed it!). i can't believe how quickly the time is going and that we've been here two months already. the photos above are of the school- the Pattaya campus. there are two campuses one in Pattaya (where i am at the moment) and a much smaller one in Bangkok. Everyone is able to work at both campuses at some time in the year, but i think i've finally decided that i'm going to stay in Pattaya next term.
anyway, i'm loving it here so much and really enoying the teaching. i only work in the primary school (i don't have any senior lessons). most of my lessons are with the two reception classes, then i also help out with year 1, 2, 3 and 4. then on fridays i teach flute.
hello, i haven't updated this for ages and can't really be bothered to now!! so just a quick message to let you know i'm still having an absolutly fab time!! i'm going to stay out here for longer now- am thinking of coming back probably sometime in september, though i'm not quite sure when. i'm planning on spending the beginning of the summer in bangkok and ko samet and possibly going back up to chiang mai for a few days. then hopefully some friends are coming out to visit, so we'll be in bangkok and samet and possibly traveling round a little bit. then when the other gappies have to come back to work i'm thinking of staying with tara and phoebe in bangkok for a bit and spending my last few weeks there and on samet.

i'm still loving it here. the teaching is great. then we spend almost every weekend on ko samet. apart from the odd weekend when we go to bagkok or have something on at school.
ko samet is a bit above the writing that says gulf of thailand- this is the island where we/ I spend most of my weekends
we went to chiang mai for the last holidays- for songkran and we went to pai, which is about 4 hours away
