Geng - works at Tok's Hut bar, he's pretty much the manager. Such a champ, a real entertainer who deserves to be paid more than he gets! Geng pretty much runs the bar by himself. He's a real shit stirrer, which I love and hate at the same time! But a genuine nice guy who can't say no, but he should sometimes! I really appreciate his being so nice in letting me stay in his room a few times and also the lessons on how to make cocktails!!!! Geng is a really mad dancer and also has perfect english, so we seem to talk to him most. I just hope he doesn't mind us sitting at his bar every day!
Joe - Joe is a youngen (only just turned 18) that works at Silver Sands restaurant and lives at Tok's. Stef and I met him when we went fishing one day, which was so much fun! I love Joe's dancing and have so much fun with him. He's also really good at pool and another of the great guys that lets me stay with them! Although, he snores. Joe's said that I have to teach him English, because he hasn't finished school, but he might be going back to school next year, which I think is great because not many of the Koh Samet guys finish school!
Tay (pronounced Die) - Tay works at Naga Bar and is one of my best mates on Samet and in Thailand. He's totally crazy at times, but also a real gentleman. He has got me drunk many a night by insisting that I share buckets with him! He also takes me to dinner quite a lot, which was fantastic the time I had to live on Samet with only 1,500 baht! I always have fun with Tay and I'm going to miss him so much when I leave!!!
Ton - Ton also works at Naga Bar and is another sweetie! He does some pretty mad fire shows and works so hard every day setting up for each night. He is apparently a good Thai boxer, which wouldn't surprise me because he's quite small but still able to pick me up! He's even small enough to fit into the cupboard under the bar!
Dorn (pronounced Don) - Dorn used to work at Tok's Hut in the restaurant but due to a change of bosses, he now has to work at Silver Sands restaurant. He's a real little shit stirrer and me and Stef assisted him by teaching to say "bitch". He's also a youngen, although we're not sure whether he's 15 or 18! Either way he looks really young, and is cheeky enough to be only 15!
Sombat - Bat works at Naga Bar and is kind of the manager of the bar. He's the eldest of the guys that work there, but that doesn't mean he's any more mature at times! He's a really funky dancer, although he only started dancing a few weeks ago.
Chong - Chong works at Silver Sands restaurant but he still spends heaps of time with us at Tok's and Naga Bar, probably because he's Phoebe's boyfriend! Chong is another of the really good dancers, but I can't do his moves yet. He loves dancing with Stef and I and we love it too! I have the best picture of Chong looking like he belongs in a boy band which cracks me up every time! His taste in music contrasts a bit though... Eminem to Blue!
Lung (pronounced Loong) - Lung is a champ and so flattering! He's a bit cheeky though! He was the first person in Thailand that I went on a motorbike with and I know love going on motorbikes! Lung is another of the cool dancers on Samet, as most of them are! I was here to celebrate Lung's birthday and it was such a fun night, but he wouldn't know about most of it because he passed out so early! Still, he's a great guy and heaps generous, cause he lets me stay sometimes!
Dow - Dow is another of the Silver Sands boys, but spends heaps of time with us. He has a gorgeous smile and looks so cheeky and shy all at the same time. He has a really cool chicken dance that he does which is a good laugh! Dow also does good fire shows and does a good attempt at English, although he's really shy about it!
Blue - Blue is known to Stef and I as 'SuperBlue'! He works for one of the boat companies that runs tours and ferry services to the mainland. Blue is really sweet and has such a funny laugh, he sounds like a hyena! His sister is gorgeous as well, her name is Meow!!! He has really good English, which I think is from working with farangs on the boat tours all the time, which is part of how we got to know him so well.
Mel - Mel is the one of the only girls we know on Samet! She works at Naga Bar with the boys, but usually just takes orders and money and serves beers. She's really sweet though and apparently really good at reading and writing English, it's just that she doesn't speak it that often.
Saen - Saen works at Naga Bar as a barman and DJ. He's Dow's older brother, but he looks like the younger because he's so small! They have the same huge smile though! Saen is also really good at fire shows and Muay Thai (boxing). I don't know Saen as well as a lot of the others because he's really quiet, but he's still really sweet!
Ong - Ong works at Tok's Ht with Geng, but some times works at the restaurant. He's not quite the entertainer like Geng, but still a great guy. He's really good at fire shows but shy so we don't see them very often. he's also good at thai boxing, and you can totally tell by looking at him! The muscles! Ong used to be a lot louder, but since he got a Thai girlfriend he's calmed down!
Tao - Tao's name is impossible for me to pronounce correctly, so I've taken to calling him 'Turtle', which the English translation of his name. He works at Tok's Hut, but has only been there a short time. His home is about ten minutes from school!! We've all been helping to teach him more English which has provided some funny moments!!
Lerm - Lerm is another of the Tok's restaurant people and is really friendly. He's pretty crazy sometimes, especially when drunk, but he's still really sweet.
Pin - I only met Pin a few weeks ago, but I love her!!! She's so so so much fun and absolutly gorgeous!! Pin is Sombat's girlfriend, so she's always at Naga Bar, although she doesn't actually work there. Her English isn't great but we still have loads of fun together, especially when drinking Pina Coladas or dancing! She also kicks a lot of arse on the pool table!
