JESSE'S PAGE
Hi. I have no idea what to write so I thought I would give a brief history of myself for anyone willing to read past this first sentence.
I was born in Perth before I moved to PNG, shortly after I moved to Darwin where my family stayed for 10 years. Then my little sister and my parents and I moved to Istanbul for two years before I went briefly back to Darwin to finish the International Baccalaureate. I have two sisters and a brother. My older brother's in Melbourne, my older sister's in London and my younger sister's in Chiang Mai with my parents who work at an international school there. I am 18 years old.
Right now I am working in Bangkok at the Regent's School with the other Gappies Dave, Tara and Phoebe. I enjoy it here more than Dave does because there is more to do, see and buy in Bankok than in Pattaya, although Dave dislikes the lack of exercise we get here as the teachers don't play sport after

school or anything, although that is about to change. All of my timetable this term is either P.E. or swimming, which is also nothing to complain about.
On the weekend as you probably know all 11 Gappies went to Koh Samet, the closest island to Bangkok, which is four hours drive away. I had a great time and got the chance to meet the two new gappies and intern, who are all champs. I got really stupidly sunburnt and so right now my torso looks like red bubble wrap. It hasn't been fun standing out in the sun teaching 12 year olds how to swim freestyle this week. I also happen to remember getting sunburnt, meaning I was in the sun, which is more than I can say I remember of a previous trip to Samet. I knew that hotel bed very well by the time we left that weekend. Last weekend I was also dejectedly unsuccessful in what were my probably comic attempts to pick up. However on several traumatic occasions I was cracked onto by some drunken bipeds who were I'm sure the missing link between humans and warthogs. Dave and I did enjoy viewing some helpfully uninhibited girls on the beach though.
This weekend apparently most of the 6 Pattaya Gappies are coming across to Bangkok, it should be fun showing the new ones around. That's all I can think of for now so I'll catch you later. Cheers.
