| New New Update 30/10/03: Hey yall! I'm still having a good time back here, but starting to miss Thailand and all you guys more and more. Its still raining here and the weather has been unusually cold lately. Not so bad since I'm working outside, but summer is going to be such hard work in the heat. I read the new pole question- surprisingly I didn't vote for the weed pulling! The memories of Biff, Chip and Kipper are still too recent and got my vote easily. Oh yeah, I cant remember who wanted me to write them a letter for their books- so if you want one then let me know again and I'll have another try at writing something for you. Thats all I've got.. last words of advice: Make the most of your last weeks in Thailand! (for those who are coming back soon.) Its wierd how my life hasn't seemed to have changed, coming back and living at home with the parents- hardly feels like I left. I thought I'd changed whilst in Thailand and I probably did- but its easy to slip back into life the way it was before leaving. Old New Update: (1/10/03) I've settled in to work now, and i'm still enjoying it mostly. Big news at the moment was the pedal prix the other week, where we failed quite badly (well I did). We only raced the first 11 hours, because I crashed the trike and snapped a really important bit of metal, one of the ones that holds the wheel on.. So we decided to call it a day, and headed down to the nearest pub till closing. Apart from that life is pretty good, I've been getting into the biking a little more, and i've got a 4 day weekend this weekend so I'm road trippin with my mate Oli to Yorke Penninsula. Yay! Old Update: Anyway, I thought I better write something in here, cos I'm going back home. For those who dont know, or are a little confused, I got a job in Adelaide working on a mountain bike park with Green Corps. This means I'll be planting trees, building trails, signage, revegetation work (weeding) and whatever else they decide is good for us to do. Surprisingly enough, I'm really looking forward to it. To all the other gappies, goodluck to you for the rest of the year, have a great time and think of me, slaving back in Australia whilst your still here living it up for the rest of the year. Thanks for the cool times we've had together, I won't forget this year, (well 9 months) and as Andy says 'Keep it real out there.' To anyone else who reads this, congratulations on reading it, I thought you'd have died of boredom long ago, as the updates are so damn often. Thats all. Though I will update with news of the new job or maybe I'll just send an email. |

| If you've read my email you'll already know about this link, its at www.peacepedalers.com. We met Garryck, one of the 2 guys on this trip during the 24hr mtb race that some of us did. He is riding around the world for 5 years. As if this isn't enough he rode solo and won. We felt sorry for him and gave him a lift to Pattaya to get a decent nights sleep in a hotel. The point is he's doing an amazing trip and he's got a really cool website, so go there and find out about it. | ||||||||||||
