| Cities and Knights | Ilise's:
Stoped by Ilise's home duing my visit to Boston. It wasn't too long before Ilise pushed for a game.
John didn't have a good game, his numbers just didn't roll. I got off to fast start getting to
eight points while both Ilise and John were struggling to get to four. My lucky soured and Ilise came charging to catch up.
Ilise stole my longest road and merchant from me and built two metros.

| Wyatt Earp | Annette's:
Annette decided to throw a game night for me. They showed how much they missed me in the first round by playing
two hideouts on my sets. They didn't go any easier on me on the following rounds.

| Bluff | Annette's:
We got the whole group together for a big game of bluff. Chet out went out early so he could pick up the pizza.
When Dimitri got knocked out, he left to get more Alcohol for the Mudslides. Annette and I got knock out on an exact
bid. That left Holly and Christine, each with one die. Christine who had never played before never had a chance against
holly. Note except for one turn no one every choose the Artist.

| Hick Hack | Annette's:
Next up was a quick game of Hick Hack while we waited for Dimitri and Chet to return. Boy I just didn't have any luck
in this game! Most of my chickens got eaten and those that didn't usually got their asses kicked by other chickens.

| Citadels | Annette's:
This is one of Annette's favorite games. We added the Artist and made the end condition seven districts in order to
play with eight players. Both Christine were new to the game so I went over the rules for them.
Christine K seem really confused. While the veterans of the game battled each other, the newbies went unnoticed till it
was too late to stop them. Annette was the unlucky one in this game, somehow always attracting the thief or the assassin's
blade.

| 6 Nimmt! | Annette's:
Played three hands of 6 Nimmt. Holly scored a new one round record of 45 points.
| 60 | |
| Bohnanza | Annette's:
For some odd reason there was a serious avoidance of breaking up the group into two games. Since the max for this game
was seven I decided that I would team up with Christine. This was a good thing since Christine was pretty close to
full on the learn new game tank. I really enjoyed this game cause it was not one of those donation fest that I've played
recently.
| 80 | |
| Trival Pursuit 90s | Annette's:
We randomly split into teams of two for this game. Holly and Christine K got off to a great start game four slice of the pie
before any of us could get one slice. They stalled slipping up on what I thought were easy questions. Of course they probably
thought same about the questions that Matt and I missed. Who would have thought that knowledge about the Hanta Virus
would coming in handy.

| San Juan | SOG:
The great thing about Boston is that just about every night there is a game night somewhere. I was the first to
show up at Chris's house. Chris cooked some pizza and was nice enough to share half of it with me.
While we were dining, Andrew arrive followed by Chip and Sarah. They started a game of San Juan. Since I ate faster than
Chris, I got to join the game. I built the acqueduct and the gold mine to get extra cards during the game.
My strategy was to build lots of plantations and the guild hall, in the hope of ending the game quickly. Somehow
Andrew and Sarah really cranked out the building. They were using some poorhouse and other building combo that gave them
extra cards during building phase. Chip and I were very behind in the scoring.

| Fresh Fish | SOG:
Before I left Reno for my business trip I go John to piggy a couple of games on his game order, one of them was
Fresh Fish. When I saw that Josh had brought to SOG night, I push for it. Josh went over the rules and boy that
expropriation rule is a toughie and it such a key rule to know for placing your reservation markers.
Yep Josh made it look so simple.

| Members Only | SOG:
The rest of the crew was still involved with a marathon game of Eurphat and Tigris.
Josh and Andrew want to play Members Only, not one of my favorites but how could I refuse.
I love Knizia games but this one has been hard to appreciate. I like to describe this one as trying to bet on the weather.
As you can see in my result I didn't do well.

| Titan the Arena | Joe's:
I attended Joe's monthly poker game. I did well considering that I spent five hours playing poker and only lost a buck forty.
They are my kind of players. As the game was breaking up Joe suggested closing out the night with a regular game.
It appears that didn't get enough gambling out of our system because we selected another game that involved betting.
Yves had not played before, so Joe went over the rules. I had to correct them on the end game condition. They were using the rules from the latest version, Colossus Arena. I usually place my secret bet during my first turn but this time I waited until my second turn. It helped a bit since I placed my bet on a creature that someone else was supporting.
Yves was definitely missing certain aspect of the game. Several times I gave her the opportunity of placing the death blow to a creature. I got the final creature placement, knocking out Joe's 3 point bet. Looks like I made the right kill.

Joel announced that he would be spending his birthday

join him for a game during our lunch
time. Puerto Rico was the game of choice.

| Rail Baron | John's:
Frank had brought an old classic that he used to play in college. He thought highly of it, after a few turns I did not.
This is a basic roll dice and move your token. You only pay 1000 bucks if you move over own or the bank's rail.
If you move over someone else rail you have to pay 5000. Once you reach your destination you're allow to buy a
poperty or upgrade your train. What annoyed me about this game was you had no control over your destination which was
determined a double table lookup.
Several time I had to go to the Northeast where I had no rail presence. Johnny experience the same thing.
I also thought that the end game was lame. When determining a player's next destination if a player has 200k he could declare
intention of wining. At that point he must race back to his home city. If another player passes over his token, he
loses his declaration and give 50k to the token's owner. How random.
John had declared but Johnny zipped over him, twice!! Frank was using his experience waited until he had a run that took
him near to his hometown before declaring.

| Runebound: The Shadow of Margath | John's:
James had been jonesin' to play this game since I acquired it. He was like a little pit bull that just wouldn't give up this time.
John was drain by Rail Baron so he wasn't interested but Frank was game. I was lucky with my encounters, getting some wimpy
creatures and some very benifical events (goldwise). Frank on the other hand encountered the strongest green event on his first attempt.
He ran away but the setback hurt him in the long run. Using the money acquired thru the events, I traveled to several
towns, picking up weapons and followers. Having followers really aided in defeating the dragons. Once the first
dragon is defeated, the rest become pretty easy kill.

| Settlers of Catan | John's:
I guess the extra long games really pooped everyone. Only Penii and John willing to play one more game.
THis time the rolls went Penii's way. She was really dominated the game, It only appeared close cause John was able to
get the longest road before Penii polished us off.

| Trendy | BGoR:
We had a new player attend our group and he plays Puerto Rico and Catan. He had never played this one though.
We got in two hands of Trendy before critical mass. Harry liked it and figures his wife would too.

| San Juan | BGoR:
The other group started a game of Medina and we started a game of San Juan. Went over the rules for everybody.
John V was being really annoying, I can't believe I recommended him to work for my company.
The game was pretty close with everyone having at least 11 buildings at the end of the game.
I was able to use the crane effectively to build the Triumphal Arch for a 6 point bonus.
Bruce built the Guild hall to get a big 10 point bonus. Harry built the palace but didn't enough big buildings to make
use of the 25% bonus.

| Sleuth | BGoR:
The intriguing part of this game continues to be my developing methodoloy for processing the information.
Joe hit gold this time.

| Drahtseilakt | BGoR:
With the Medina game still going we decided to play Drahtseilakt until the others were ready to start another game.
Finally I think this game is clicking with me. I avoided geting any points during the first two rounds and had zero
points until the last card in the third. We stopped after the third hand because the others had finished playing their
monster game of Medina.

| Edel, Stein & Riech | BGoR:
It's been a while since I've played ESR so I was excited.
This was Andrew's first play so he made some really bad choices.
First round I concentrated in getting a majority in yellow and contracts while everyone battle for red control,
this gave me the early lead. I almost succeded in doing the same strategy in the second round, TC got the contracts.
In the final round
I picked up the "each majority is +4" and "+8 for green majority" bonus cards. I was almost successful in getting yellow
again but someone tied it up in the final hand. I did succeed in getting
majority in green for the big points and victory.
| 60 | |
| Station Master | BGoR:
I'm really liking this game with my "take that" approach but I guess the game tends toward that strategy.
This time I really played the role of the dick. This time I would sucker them onto a train by placing one my tokens,
a one naturally. After they had committed I would whack'em with big negatives. The best trick of the game was when they
filled up a tain without me. I used an action to send it away empty. Ha ha ha.
