| ARTIST: 'N Sync ALBUM TITLE: No Strings Attached RATING: Good Considering that 'N Sync is on its sophomore outing, "No Strings Attached" is a fairly strong album, with the group sticking to what it does best - feel-good pop - and trying the occasional deviant track as an attempt at innovation. Tracks like "Bye Bye Bye" and "It's Gonna Be Me" continue to mine the techno-laden production that writer-producer Andreas Carlsson is famous for; She'kspere's "It Makes Me Ill" is a fair attempt at hiphop. Ballads "This I Promise You" and Diane Warren "That's When I'll Stop Loving You" turn up the romance factor. Does it work? It depends, if one is thinking musical schizophrenia. But then again, At least they're having fun and not trying to be different, unlike some other boy bands who consciously make the attempt to deviate from the "boy band" label. Back To My Music |
