Well... We have the Taj Motel Trio show coming up this saturday at Modern Formations in Pittsburgh. We were supposed to sell 15 tickets and have only sold 4. Isn't that great. It's either nobody can get a ride or nobody knows where it is, and we are always trying to give people rides to our shows, we have packed people in whatever cars we have to go, we have had people come to shows that we were supposed to play at but couldn't find the damn place while we they sat and watched bands they didn't like at all, we have yet to get paid more than 5 dollars at a venue that we take people to, we once played a show were only our friends were at and i had them waste 6 dollars, i could have had them watch us jam in my fucking basement for free, but we still try as hard as we can to sell tickets but nobody cares enough and they can't get rides. This show is fucking 4 dollars, that is as cheap as it gets. I figured i would have 15 tickets sold in no time, but since it is in Pittsburgh, nobody can get rides, isn't that great. So if we get bitched at, then we get bitched at, but i geuss that is how it is and will be.

Tickets are ten dollars. I don't know the other bands playing right now and the times, etc. but i still have more info to come. All i know is that we are playing at Nick's Fat City, what a big venue for us, and on top of that, we are playing with the Slackers. Taj Motel Trio played with them twice while The Slackers were touring down south. So come catch Taj Motel Trio with us April 3rd at Modern Formations and The Slackers with us on April 6th at Nick's Fat City. Two shows gauranteed to be amazing.

Hey what the fuck is up? For those of you who care, we didn't play the show tonight with Leprosy, Faceless Fear, and The Fitt. I went to it though. The other guys didn't show up, got lost in Pgh. Who knows what will happen now, you'll just have to wait and see.
All I can say is, HOLY SHIT! This was the best show we have ever done. I want to start by thanking everyone for coming, sorry tix were six bucks though. Especially I would like to thank Taj Motel Trio and Perfect Orange, two awsome southern ska bands who were, again, fucking awsome. Got their links at the bottom of the page. The Crowd was so great, surprisingly, for the first time, we played for a mosh pit full of skankers and punks, wasn't to big, but it was big enough to make me feel great. To anyone who couldn't make it, i feel sorry for ya, you missed our best show, plus two kickass bands. The first was a shitty emo band who had the worst drummer, he didn't know what he was doing. The last band was ska, but they were trying to hard and their singer wasn't any good. More good news is one of the bands at my school dropped from the Battle and offered us the spot, but you never know how things work at my shitty school. Just wish us the best of luck...... Goodnight.
Sorry its been so long for an update. Not much to say but good luck for us at the AMC show on Saturday which i can see looking like shit. Oh yeah, how could I forget, we are not playing at the battle of the bands at school, but other bands who don;t even have one song, let alone a cover song to play, are playing. And mainly every band from last year is playing, although i won;t share my hate for the most of their bands because i don;t want to hurt their feelings. So while they all lose against the band who they lost against last year, Silver Lining, we will still be playing shows when we can and will actually be a band and not some asshole who will get a drummer just for battle of the bands and play a shit show or be a couple of pricks wasting my time by entering and actually getting in while they have no idea what they are doing. Whatever though, I don't know what Silver Lining is trying to do competing, they will win. They could at least open and not compete. Cya

As sad as it gets, we really need to sell tickets for the AMC show on the 13th of Dec. I know alot of people hate AMC, but its a show, and they are closing down soon so we won't be playing there anymore. Another thing is, most of you out there don't care about local music anymore or never did, and I don't understand why. You can't excpect your favorite bands to come around all the time. If ya never heard us, give us a chance. If ya have, come see us again. Also, Orange Drink will be joining us for the show
SALE! - I got a 70 watt crate tube amp for sale. I paid 200 for it and i'll let it go for 100. Its in pretty good condition. Usable for practices and gigs too. Also a Dinosaur foot pedal with overdrive, chorus, delay, and a by pass switch. I paid 80 and am willing to get rid of it for 35. Email me.
About the battle of the bands at school... I'm sure the readers from Kiski know who Silver Lining is. Well they are that great band with that crazy guitar player Brad Garone. Well, battle of the bands is for fun and to get heard, not to go and show off, plus rub the fact that they will probably win in other peoples faces. I over heard Brad saying that it is pointless to have a battle when they are gonna win, plus our bass player told us that Brad said its pointless for "us" to sign up since we will lose. What a great guy. I'd like to give a shout out to Brad and i hope they win. I hope most of you can come to see Silver Lining.
Confirmed- The band is up and running again. I still have yet to put the lyrics and pics up. We are still playing at AMC on Dec 13 so come support the band. We are probably going to do a Battle of The Bands for school which is Dec 20 and is usually 5 bucks. If you goto our school and want to see us and don't feel like going to whole ways to Murraysville then we'll be at the Sons of Italy in Vandergrift.
Happy Halloween! Well not for the Suckerpunch Thompsons. Not having a halloween gig is pretty shitty plus things have been going bad for us. As of now, we are on a break because of too much unresolved conflict. Some people just can't cooperate as easily as others. But if things start looking back up for us then you can catch us at AMC on December 13th with , so far, Taj Motel Trio and Perfect Orange. There are probably more TBA. I'll have more info on that later. I'll hopefully have pics and lyrics up soon.
Played at American Music Cafe and it sucked horribly. We played with
shitty emo bands that were too whiny. We played last with barely anyone there because the touring band wanted to get out of there quick. Sad thing is, I wouldn't blame them. We're probably gonna play an all Ska show in December there with The Taj Motel Trio, Perfect Orange, and I think Bum Ruckus. We also have plans to play (or would like to) with Bunny Five Coat from Pittsburgh sometime soon, the venue hasn't been chosen yet, and another show (hopefully) with The Midnight Plowboys in Pittsburgh.
