web page

"It is the basic unit of the www, which is a single document that contains a mixture of text, pictures and other elements"

The place where a bunch of web pages are stored is called a web site. Most web pages contain links, which appear as highlighted text, icons, or graphics. Links connect a web page to other web pages, helping you to navigate the web.
To make finding things on the web easier, every web page has an address. The page address is called an URL and works just like a street address. It tells your web browser where to look for the page you want to see.

The web pages on a site are broken down into three main groupings:-

  1. Home page--Which is the first hyperlink page and it acts as an index to other documents and services.
  2. Main topic pages--This is a page that the home page links to
  3. Subsidiary page--Any page other than a home or main page is a subsidiary page.
