Tiruppugazh  Anbargal, an organisation started under the guidance of Guriji Sri.A.S.Raghavan, New Delhi has been involved in spreading world peace through Tiruppugazh singing. It took its roots in Kalpakkam in 1984 under the training of Sri S.V.Karthikeyan. Slowly several  joined the group and started learning the verses. Sooner, the enthusiasm grew to a level that mass prayers ( Bhajans) were started. The firstof its kind was held at Karumari Amman temple, Kalpakkam in 1987.  Followed a Padi Vizha was started at Tirukkazhunkundrum (~550 steps) during one of the days of  Mahasashti in Nov,1987.
