AAMIR KHAN
Aamir
is probably the only superstar in the country who determined that he would
become a superstar and voluntarily created a situation so that he reaches the
position.
He started his career as an assistant to Ketan Mehta, who was making a film
based within the film institute called Holi. Aamir not only acted in Holi but
also learnt all aspects of direction.
Aamir was first introduced as a child artiste
in the 1970's hit Yaadon Ki Baarat - he was the youngest child in the trio. He
'quit' movies in a manner of speaking, and went on to become the state tennis
champion for Maharashtra. He also fell in love with the girl next door in the
meantime. By his own admission, he proposed to her the day he turned 21, and she
accepted. But apparently, there was opposition since she was from a Hindu family
and he, from a devout Islamic one. So, they eloped, got married and returned to
their homes.
He is a large-hearted friend and the perfect son. In fact, it is said that
except for two exceptional occasions - when he quit his studies after the 12th
Std and when he secretly married Reena - Aamir has never gone against his
family. His family is his life support system.
He prefers to remain calm and sanguine.
Talent and modesty personified, the man's known to keep a low-profile. Whatever
complaints one might have about his exasperating penchant for details and his
argumentative nature, there is no denying that it is a pleasure to deal with
Aamir Khan.
Aamir has approached the strategy that now he will have only one or two releases
a year. This is evident from his track record. He not only picks the film but
the entire cast and technical crew. If he had his way he would direct
his own films too.
So, you will see what a versatile actor this man is. He is the BEST!
