You must provide information about starting salaries, expected raises, levels of seniority, and whether pay is hourly or on salary. Also, are there annual bonuses, performance bonuses, commission or other methods of generating income?

Are there any other benefits to such a career choice? For example, being your own boss? Free travel? Lots of vacation time? Etc....

What are the current trends in this occupation? How much are people in Canada currently earning on average in the occupation?

Use the outline provided in class to organize your thoughts and ideas prior to conducting the interview. The interview may be recorded (either audio or video), may be done strictly orally (either in person or on the telephone), or you may choose to conduct the interview via e-mail.

REFERENCES

In this final section you will be required to list all of your sources. These must be listed alphabetically, and using the correct format as discussed and introduced in class.

Assignment Details

You will actually be completing two waterfall books. The first, is designed to help you in your research as an organizer. It is simply a rough copy in which you are to make your point form notes. Please note that there is an empty section at the end of the book. This will allow you the opportunity to "double-up" on any section if required. (especially the early sections as they are quite small)

In your rough copy, all notes should be point form, however, in the good copy, you must expand your notes into organized sentences and paragraphs. The final copy should by typed, and pasted into the waterfall book. The final copy should also include illustrations, diagrams, charts and or clip art.

Please keep all research materials organized in your research folder. You will receive several periods in class to work on your project. Occasionally, computer time will be available, however, you must be prepared to use your time productively in class. (ie. Have some materials in class to work on each day)
