PERIOD 1	AWAY @ NONQUON	HEALTH: Worked on good copy of cigarette package covers. Due next class - Wednesday 19th	FRENCH: Worked on verb booklets. Took jot notes on verbs. Get test signed or detentions begin tomorrow. No homework	MUSIC: Got booklets handed out. Worked on them. Some people had to complete their test. No homework.	FRENCH: Worked on Valentine cards. Collected and to be handed back at the end of the day.
PERIOD 2	AWAY @ NONQUON	FRENCH: Got in groups and marked pages 17, 27, 28. Got new booklet to work on. Worked on pages 1-7 and handed in booklet. Vocabulary Test needs to be signed.	GYM: Played half court basketball games. No homework	FRENCH: Took up homework from yesterday. Worked on booklets. No homework.	MUSIC: Played and fingered #93. Test in two weeks on this piece.
PERIOD 3	AWAY @ NONQUON	SCIENCE:  Watched video on mining called "Common Ground" Took jot notes on Surface Mines and Underground Mines.	MATH: Wrote re-test or worked quietly on other work.	MATH: Got worksheet. Worked on it and must finish it for tomorrow.	SCIENCE: Took note and got instructions on Mining Valuable Ore. Completed lab on mining chocolate from cookies. Questions and data tables to be finished next class.
PERIOD 4	AWAY @ NONQUON	SCIENCE: Continued working on flow chart of the Underground and Surface Mining Procedure. Began working on Venn Diagram comparing two types of mining.	MATH: Wrote re-test or worked quietly on other work.	GYM: Played half court basketball games. No homework.	SCIENCE: Continued. No homework, but work must be finished in class time next period.
PERIOD 5	AWAY @ NONQUON	MATH: Took up homework. Worked on pages 114 and 115 of text, #1-43 odd due next class.	LANGUAGE: Got into randomly assigned groups of four and shared rough draft of character sketch. Groups each selected their best example and shared with class. Discussed aspects/characteristics of a level 4 character sketch. Begin working on a character sketch for one of the characters in your novel. Will have writing time both Thursday and Friday to write and edit.	SCIENCE: Worked on questions 1-5 on pg 12 -13 of text. Worked on flow charts for surface and underground mines. Completed diagram of underground mine for notebook.	MATH: Took up homework. Worked on page 413 #1 -10 and Page 415 #1-6 Due on Monday.
PERIOD 6	AWAY @ NONQUON	TECH: Worked on spreadsheets. Multiplying by 10, 100, 1000 etc.. using formulas. No homework	TECH: Continued with a second assignment on spreadsheets. Using Quattro Pro to create Magic Multipliers. No homework	GEOGRAPHY: Read chapter 3 and took 2 point form notes for each paragraph. Wrote down all definitions. Homework is to complete all definitions and notes for next class.	HISTORY: Worked on questions from text which are due on Monday. Study for test next week.
PERIOD 7	AWAY @ NONQUON	LANGUAGE: Lesson on character sketch. Work on a character sketch for a person in class, rough draft due next period to share with class.	LANGUAGE: Filled in agenda Got marks back for first setting description.	LANGUAGE: Worked on rough draft of character sketch for one of the characters from the novel completed in class. Try and have rough copy finished for tomorrow to take advantage of peer editing. Good copy due on Tuesday.
