PERIOD 1	MUSIC: Lesson on sharps, flats and naturals. Listening quiz with keyboard. No homework	FRENCH: Listened to Greg LeRock songs and made crossword puzzle for new verb sheet list. Finish crossword for homework.	FRENCH: Did journal entry on Greg LeRock. Worked on Crossword. Crossword is due on Friday.	FRENCH: Worked on crosswords. Due tomorrow to be handed in.	HEALTH: Talked about advertisements and tobacco. Write about different categories of people shown in the ads. (ie men, women, kids, etc...) Due next class.
PERIOD 2	FRENCH: Practiced and sang Greg LeRock songs. No homework	MUSIC: Talked about piano lessons and worked in piano booklets. No homework	MUSIC: Talked about pianos. Finished Piano booklet. No homework	GYM: Played basketball games on the half court.	FRENCH: Handed in crosswords. GOT BACK 4 TESTS! Answered questions from text. Vocabulary Quiz on Tuesday.
PERIOD 3	MATH: Took up homework and got review for Unit Test on Wednesday. Sheet called "TEST ONE" #1-12 and 19 to 42. (All due tomorrow)	SCIENCE: Took note on convection. Demonstration of gas convection apparatus. Drew diagram in notebook. Performed experiment on conduction in liquid. (pg. 32-33 of text)	ART: Worked on colour wheel. Due next class. If not finished - must come in at recess to finish before next class.	MATH: Started new Unit in Geometry. Homework Page 87 #1-16 Due tomorrow	SCIENCE: Took note on radiation and radiant energy. Demonstration of Radiometer and made notes and diagram in notebook. Demonstration of radiant energy and temperature using black and white covered thermometers.
PERIOD 4	GYM: Played 3 on 3 basketball games. Worked on skills.   No homework	SCIENCE: Answered questions 1-6 from page 33, as well as questions 3-6 from page 31 from conduction experiment. Began lesson on plate tectonics No homework	SCIENCE: Completed questions 7 and 8 from page 35 of text. Looked over review section of textbook. PERIOD 5	SCIENCE: Took up results from lab on conduction. Discussed characteristics and examples of conduction and related it to the particle theory. Read pages 28 - 29 on sources of heat. PERIOD 7	LANGUAGE: Novel Study - got books and 25 minutes of reading time. - Novel and "Chapter Grid" needs to be completed for entire novel for Monday Feb. 3rd. - Chapter Grid is a point form summary of the plot, setting and characters for each chapter.
