The Story...or lack there of
Ok, the first half of the movie is this...1) Introduce a new character 2) Have them
either killed or �scared�, it�s more like they turn into a big pussy because of some
meowing Chinese boy or dirty woman that bleeds a lot(no pun intended). Thats it! I�ll admit the effects are good, but much like video games(the reason why I don�t own an X-Box) I don�t pay for them for just �looks� I also pay for them for �entertainment� and �enjoyment�!
Oh, about half-way into the movie, they try to develop a story, which by the way if
there are people out there who say that the �story is actually interesting and freaky� or �you just didn�t understand it� are probably the same 30-something-nerds that still live with their mother and play Yu-Gi-Oh, that said the exact same thing about Matrix 2 and 3! Look guys, Matrix 2 and 3, WAS FLAMING PILES OF SHIT!! I understood them, oh yes I understood them plenty! And my question to you is this....Do movie directors� think we are retards? Maybe you all are, but not myself; it takes a story that is actually composed in more than 5 minutes and isn�t like a ripoff of an episode of Jerry Springer!
You see, here is the story behind �The Grudge�, the woman is obsessed with the
white guy(I didn�t care enough to memorize his name) that killed himself at the beginning of the movie. So she has a secret little room of pictures of the white guy. Her husband finds out and kills her and her son. So now, they�re ghosts that haunt anyone that enters their house. And people would say �You just don�t understand it� well I�d like to see any of them be able to get the story that correct!
The only other part of the movie I have to rant about is that there was only one
scary part of the movie and that was when there was no music and/or lighting transistions to tell you �something scary was about to happen�. So there is no real reason to waste your money on this horrific excuse for a film! In fact, the only reason I could imagine anyone wanting to go see this movie beyond being forced to, wanting to slander it (if you live by my hypocrite theory); would be your girlfriend dragging you to it and you wanting to see her get scared as you try to get in her pants! If none of those apply to you, then Don�t See This Movie!!! Well, I�m tired, goodnight bitches!
