Chapter Ten: The Story Of Egypt According to Cayce

The Fourth Flight Of The Phoenix

At this juncture, we are on the eve of the Fourth Flight of the Phoenix. The next two passages from Cayce are very important key passages in the Cayce readings, for they allow us to decisively construct the plot line of the entire Ra era:

(C) Then there followed the nine years in banishment; as well as the periods of the uprisings of the Natives in rebellion, and also those of the King's own household in the Ibex; as well as the entrance into Egypt of the peoples from the Atlantean land, which had begun the breaking up - as had been told by that entity, the Priest.

The banishment of Ra was a face-saving device which maintained the regime for a while, but its power continued to ebb and anarchy gradually became worse and worse. All groups were divided about how to deal with the other groups, most especially the looming threat from increasing numbers of Atlanteans who possessed a superior technology, including the formidable ability to fly. With the loss of Ibex from which to rule, which was taken away from Araaraart by his own son, the Prince of Ibex, anarchy essentially toppled the regime.

Unfortunately for Araaraart, the worst is yet to come. The Imperial House of Atlantis marches in and Araaraart's allies, the "Law of One" Atlanteans, are neutralized, thus ending the First Dynasty:

(C) …the entity was in that land…during those periods when turmoils and strifes arose through the banishment of the Priest and the rebellions that arose among the peoples of the King's own household, among the natives and later the turmoils rather among those that were allowed by the King and the portions of the ruling forces to arrive or to sojourn from the Atlantean destructive forces.

Cayce had certain pet phrases and "Atlantean destructive forces" was one of them, which he used to distinguish the Imperial Atlantean State from the Atlantean "Followers Of The Law Of One", who were also colonizing Egypt at this time. His use of the term here immediately informs us that we have entered onto the stage of recorded history.

Here we find Cayce, for the first time, intersecting squarely with the Egyptian memory as passed down to Solon and thence to Plato. The new culture which had been set-up was in turmoil and disarray over the enforcement of the cultural and religious laws, the regime had essentially collapsed, and now Imperial Atlantis mounts its offense, as recorded by Plato, in a bid to extend its rule directly over the Eastern Mediterranean. Egypt, a land in anarchy, provided no military opposition to Imperial Atlantis. Atlantis' initial bid was stopped only at Athens, or so the Egyptian priests told Solon.

The pathos of this time was surely profound. Both Ra and the Atlanteans (the Followers Of The Law Of One) had fore-knowledge of the Flight and had come to Egypt to prepare for the creation of a new era after the destruction of Atlantis. The prophecies are made, the migrations are undertaken, and the foundations for survival are laid as a partnership between the Carpathians and the Atlanteans. Then one of the chief architects of the new culture is kicked out, banished to the wilderness, Egypt sinks into cultural and political chaos, Araaraart's son fortifies Ibex against him, leaving the King without a base, and then the heel of Imperial Atlantis arrives. All is seemingly lost, all of the principal partners are suddenly without honor in their adopted land.

And then, the Phoenix flies, bringing complete destruction to Atlantis during a Major Tectonic Event. This event included a shifting of the entire crust of the earth so that the location of the north pole shifted further northward allowing Europe and North America to become substantially warmer:

(C) ... that land now known or spoken of as the Atlantean, during those days when... that had made for the eruptions in the land that had divided the lands and had changed not only the temperate but to a more torrid region by the shifting of the activities of the earth itself.

From Plato's story, we know that the Phoenix flew while the Imperial House of Atlantis was mounting a full-scale invasion of the eastern Mediterranean. The inhabitants of the southern Balkan and Peloponnesian peninsulas were able to fend off at least one attack. Then Atlantis sank and a massive deluge (tidal wave) swept the Mediterranean, wiping out the attempt of the Imperial Army to mount a new offensive. Unfortunately a goodly portion of a much larger Peloponnesian Peninsula sank (and portion of the Baltic Peninsula as well), breaking up the region and leaving many islands in the Aegean as reminders of what had once been continuous land. The Carpathian culture in the area was totally devastated, leaving only uneducated "mountain people" to remember vague "children's stories" about the past, including strange stories about how the wrath of the gods devastated the earth with a deluge of water.

Unfortunately, Cayce never gave us defined date for the actual flight. Determining the exact date could be highly beneficial, especially for our own futures, for it will permit an exhaustive search for the astronomical and gravitational confluence within which the flight. Just determining a date of 10,500 BC takes considerable research on the Cayce CD-ROM.

We know, as will become evident later on in the next few chapters, that Cayce's use of the phrase

(C) "In that period, some ten thousand five hundred (10,500) years before the Prince of Peace came into Egypt as a student and seeker for the unraveling of the mystery of manifested life…

is a general reference to a period, not a specific date, as 10,500 BC. Cayce used this device several dozen times to refer to events which happened before and after this time marker. Because of the generality in which he spoke, just getting the overall plot line straight, as summarized in this chapter, took hundreds of hours.

We know for certain that the last flight occurred before the Great Pyramid was begun, which Cayce does precisely date at 10,490 BC, otherwise neither the Sphinx nor the Rostau Pyramids would have the proper orientations on their north/south axis. We also know from the readings in the next section that the period of recovery after the return of Ra was at least 6.5 years before reconstruction began at Rostau.

We definitely can infer that it was unlikely that King Araaraart was able to reassert control and arrange for the return of Ra while the Atlantean Imperial Forces were occupying Egypt. By this time, Araaraart's regime had virtually collapsed and the Phoenix Project seemed to be in total disarray.

It is likely then that the Phoenix flew at approximately 10,500 BC, give or take three years, resulting in massive flooding of the Nile Valley (which was expected by the Atlanteans connected to the Phoenix Project, by Ra, and by King Araaraart) which eliminated the Imperial Atlanteans, who obviously were not expecting it. Thus, it must be the flight of the Fourth Phoenix at 10,500 BC which enabled King Araaraart to restore his rule, bring back Ra to restore the implementation of the "Universal Law", and cooperate with the Atlanteans in commencing planning for resumption of the Phoenix Project.
