| truck driver guy--looks and talks like Elvis Presley, 50s and 60s rock god, known as The King of Rock and Roll. | Big Elvis Links |
| roofies--the "date rape" drug. There was or still is a scare about this drug, since apparently your date slips this into your drink while you're not looking and it makes you unable to control yourself or remain alert, so then they can take advantage of you and claim you were willing. | Roofies site |
| ice cream truck-- the ever-famous ice cream truck, a rolling refrigeration unit carrying all forms of sugar impregnated water and plastic. On the side of the truck you can see everyone's favorite ice cream truck treat, the rocket pop. It is a rocket-shaped ice treat flavored with red, white, and blue sugar in a festive American pattern. | |
| talk about a sticky situation--I'm not sure about this ref, but it feels like one of those stupid things Mike Brady would say during a flashback episode of the Brady Bunch. | The Brady Residence |

| Carrot Top--A comedian who is not really funny. His trademark is his enormous frightening red 'fro. His entire standup act is to do impressions and show off his "props", which are stupid inventions he's designed to be humourous. | Carrot Top's Official Home Page |

| kid in red shirt--the shirt is a security officer's shirt, probably a lieutenant, from the original Star Trek series. And his hairstyle is Federation dress code as well. The joke in Star Trek is that usually, if there is an unknown actor person in a red shirt in any scene, he is the one who dies horribly by being turned into a cube of grit, blasted out of existence, or getting sprayed with foul things and dying in screaming agony. Thus, is was obvious this kid was gonna die. | Star Trek the Original Series |

| New Fantasy Island--ah, yes, since America has used up all of its ideas for new television programs, it recycles old ones and calls them "new". The latest is the New Love Boat, be afraid of future Love Boat refs in SP. Fantasy Island was a great show, (although there was never a New Fantasy Island, that I know of. There was a made for TV movie, tho, called Return to Fantasy Island) starring Ricardo Montalban as the owner and host of a tropical island where dreams come true. His little sidekick, "Tattoo" (Herve Villechaize), was a scary freak guy who wore a nice suit. He always told his boss that the new guests were arriving by yelling loudly, "Boss, zee plane, zee plane!", causing thousands of Gen Xers to still try and imitate his call to this day. | Herve Villechaize Memorial pageClosest I could find to a Fantasy Island page. Check out the related links, especially the Dancing Herves page... |

| photo of lost kid -- is Macaulay Culkin, child actor and star of the hit film, Home Alone which had some sequels, of course. Also friend of Michael Jackson, remember? Now, well, he's 17 and getting married to another 17-year old actress. | Macauly Culkin |
| Fonzie, "aaaaaa", Arnold's, and girl with pink "J" sweater--the dreaded icons of the television show, "Happy Days". Although filmed in the 70s, this was a show about teens in the 50s, hence the crazy costumes. Fonzie was the leather-clad, biker god and all around sexy guy, played by Henry Winkler, now a producer. His catch phrase, "AAAAAA", was kinda like saying "OK", except when The Fonz said it, women melted. He always held up his thumbs when he said it, too. Arnold's was the drive-in/diner place where they would hang out and listen to groovy tunes. The chick in the pink sweater with the "J" on it is Joannie Cunningham, little sister to the star of the show, Richie Cunningham, (played by now the very famous movie director, Ron Howard (Apollo 13)). | Happy Days |
| New Barnaby Jones--again, there once was a series called Barnaby Jones, and then...you get the idea. | Barnaby Jones |
| runaway song--a play off of Live Aid, or Farm Aid, or... where a bunch of famous singers got together and there was this huge concert and then a bunch of them all got together and sang a song about a crisis (Ethiopia, American farms, etc). Concert sales went to an organization which would use the money to aid in the crisis. | Live Aid |
| Happy Burger--you know, like Burger King or something. | Burger King |
