| Three Life Cut
I�Forgotten A boy is lying in his bed. His room is simple. Nothing but the basics; bed, desk, dresser, maybe a few accessories. Nothing too complex. (This should give the feel that he is a simple man) The room is dark. Nothing on the walls. Only a few lights are on, if any. (Should give the feel of darkness and gloom) The covers are over his entire body, even his head. He doesn't move. Alarm clock goes off. He doesn't move. The alarm clock keeps going. Finally he turns it off and gets out of bed. He is wearing dark clothing, but not too dark. Just enough to add to the feeling of depression. He walks to the window and looks out. The camera will shoot him from outside the room looking into the window. He looks up and then goes back to bed. As camera fallows him, it pauses and zooms on a sign hat says "----(Whatever name is available on the sign) Parking Only." He doesn't cover his head with the blanket this time. Hold a couple of seconds then cut. CUT TO A party. There are quite a few there. Everyone is wearing bright or somewhat bright colors. The room is colorful. It is a party. Everyone is festive. The camera moves around the room pausing for a few seconds on small groups of people chatting. The first group consists of five people. Someone is in the middle of a joke. Joking Person ... was heads so I bet heads. It was tails. I flipped a dead cat. Everyone in the group bursts out laughing. Camera moves on to the next group of five. Everyone is cracking up. Laughing Person Oh hoh man! You are sick! Camera moves on to anoter group of three. It is a group of girls (since girls tend to be more compassionate and caring than guys). They catch their breath after laughing. Wondering Girl Hey, what about ---- (Name to be announced)? Wasn't he suppose to come? Invitation Girl I don't know. He never said he was co.....oh..god! Oh man. I feel so bad. I just, I...I forgot. Other Girl Why don't we just call him now? CUT TO The boy in his bed still staring at the ceiling. He sighs heavily once, then runs his hand threw his hair. He looks toward the camera. He turns on his side looking toward the camera. He squints as if he's looking at something. The camera turns around to see and cuts to the party instead. CUT TO The party. Everyone is still laughing and having a good time. Camera pans room. Pauses momentarily to see that the group of girls has quickly forgotten about the boy. Camera pulls back and just observes for a moment the party. CUT TO The bed the boy was on. The boy is not in it anymore. The sheets have been thrown off. Camera just holds on the bed for a bit. There is a bit of noise in the background. CUT TO The party. Everyone is still having fun. Some kids are fooling around physically. Everyone is slowly starting to come together; instead of several smaller groups, they are turning into one large group. They now have food out and drinks as well. Some are eating. Some are drinking. Some aren�t doing either. Camera focuses on someone going to get a drink. CUT TO The bed. The boy is back on it. His back is turned toward the camera. Rattling can be heard. You cannot see what he�s doing. He keeps looking up periodically as if checking something. He only keeps his head up for a second then resumes what he�s doing. CUT TO The party. Everyone is still laughing and having a great time. Camera holds for a moment. |
