Thursday 8th March 2007 Its four years since Games Circle was open and its now time to reflect on how much we've accomplished so far. Our circle of gamers have so far breached a hundred in numbers and what's more promising is the emerging of a circle of new young blood who shall one day challenge the seniors for the right to dominate the tabletop gaming world. The biggest success would be the co-organisation of GameCon-1 2005, Malaysia's very first games convention held at Mid-Valley Exhibition Centre in Dec 2005. With the help from Pan Global Insurance Berhad who is the main sponsor and co-organiser, three main tournaments were successfully organised, which are Warhammer 40K ( Open and Juniors ), Warhammer Fantasy ( Open ) and Golden Dragon Painting Competition ( Asian's equivalent of GW's Golden Demon Competition ). With increasing participation numbers, we are pretty sure we are on the right track where development of miniature gaming hobby is concerned. In 2005, The Games Circle also managed to secure distributorship for the following miniature range: - Games Workshop's Warhammer 40K and Warhammer - Rackham's Confrontation - Privateer Press's Warmachine 2007 promise to be a rather busy year for the gamers. With GameCon-2 2007 being scheduled in June 2007, the gaming schedule has been tightened so various tournaments will be held right after one another.
