Biochemistry admissions, advising, or class scheduling marcia_mock@ncsu.edu Hi, I'm Eric Hsu. I am a First Year College student. I am interested in biochemistry because I want to understand how the brain works. Chemicals are a very important part of that process. That is why I am interested in biochemistry. After reviewing your department's website, it didn't seem to me that the major contains emphasis on this. I was wondering whether I was getting the wrong impression or the right impression. If biochemistry is not the major for this knowledge, what is? Neurology seems to fit but NCSU does not have a college of medicine. Do you know what kind of classes I would have to take that would be good as transfer credits for a neurology (or similar department) major? Thank you for your time.
