The Roses campaign is based on both the video game Duelist of the Roses and the actual period in history, the Wars of the Roses. For information on the actual Wars, go to another site. I'm too lazy to explain it here.

Once upon a time, in 15th century Britain, there were two rival Royal Houses:
York
and
Lancaster
When the house before theirs fell, the Yorkists and Lancastrians fought a
long grueling war over who would be the next in line to rule.. This war is now referred to as the Wars of the Roses, named for the badges of the two houses. A White Rose for York and a Red Rose for Lancaster.
Now of course, every LARPer is required to have this information drilled into their brains by the LARP-mistress Repdot. |
