| AREAS OF METROID My Metroid area section contains all the areas that you play through in the Metroid series. |
| PLANET ZEBES: Brinstar-Featured in METROID and SUPER METROID: Brinstar is below Zebes and Crateria. Kraid lurks in this area. The area is full of plants and rocky zones. The atmosphere here feels a bit active in Metroid. But in Super Metroid, some areas are a bit active like Metroid and in some areas it feels dead. Crateria-Featured in SUPER METROID: Crateria is above and below Zebes. You land on Crateria in Super Metroid. When you first enter Crateria, it's dead silent, dark, and is not living. Great first impresion. But after about 5 min of play, it gets full of space pirates. It's still not very active. Norfair-Featured in METROID and SUPER METROID: Norfair is the fire zone. Full of lava and fire based enemies, and Ridley lurks here. Also, in Super Metroid Crocomire lives here. This area is dangerous. Some areas are so hot, it'll require the Varia Suit to get through. Thats only in SM though. And only in SM is how you can travel through bodies of lava with the gravity suit which is required to progress. Maridia-Featured in SUPER METROID: Maridia is one of the eeriest places in the Metroid series. Freaked out music, totally weird enemies, dark areas, and Metroids! It is a underwater/sand area. Everything I said up there counts. This is one freaked out place! Wreaked Ship-Featured in SUPER METROID: This area is above Zebes and is first has dead crap in it but gains new enemies when you kill Phantoom and all the power comes back. So it comes from dead to alive. Not a very active area and not a very large area. Not scary at all. If you want a spooky ship, play Fusion. Tourian-Featured in METROID and SUPER METROID: Tourian is the final area of both Metroids. Mother Brain is here. This area on Metroid is full of Metroids. Very active area. Including the final area. But on Super Metroid, it gets hard, including the Silver Space Pirates. But once you entered the one room with all the disinagrated enemies, you relize that Tourian has been invaded by the Metroid larva. And Mother Brain becomes one big... thing!!! Sick place! SR388 SR388's Underworld-Featured in Metroid II Return of Samus: Metroid II's map is just the underworld of SR388. SR388 is the homworld of the Metroids and the X parasites which you learn in Fusion. SR388 is large and has many enemies. Similar to Zebes in Metroid, it's just one big scale. Full of faults in the ground, ceiling, and walls. And SR388 contains the hardest boss in all of the Metroid games. Seriously. The darn thing takes 150 missiles to kill. So SR388 is different than Zebes. Space Colony Space Colony-Featured in SUPER METROID: Okay, it's not really a level, but I had to include it. It's not really scary. It's above Zebes I'm guessing. Dunno. TALLON IV Tallon Overworld-Featured in METROID PRIME: Tallon Overworld is pretty large. It has plenty of routes to go to get to another area. You land your ship here and then you go wonder around. The layout of the area is great. Though it isn't very scary or freaked out. Chozo Ruins-Featured in METROID PRIME: Ah, the old Chozo. If you've played any other Metroid before Metroid Prime, you know about them. There those statues that hold items. Well, here you can actually learn about them. It's not a scary place at all. It's active in some places but sometimes aren't. Magmoor Caverns-Featured in METROID PRIME: This place is the Norfair of Tallon IV. It even has the same music from Super Metroids Norfair. The Magmoor lurks here. Magmoor Caverns is not scary either. Not a scary place yet. Like Norfair, this place is filled with lava. There are nice obstacles to go through. Phendrana Drifts-Featured in METROID PRIME: Finally, a cold area. The first! Phendrana Drifts has all new enemies like the Sheegoth. You get your first new beam here, too. You don't need a special suit to enter, like Magmoor Caverns. Not scary but has a nice weather simulation. Phazon Mines-Featured in METROID PRIME: This area is the first place that is scary because of it's a dark lab with Metroids and huge Space Pirates. There's even these freaked out enemies that hang on stuff and when you get near them, this awesome sci-fi music comes on. And, those nasties are back. Metroids!! This place is awesome. And it's real hard to get through if your playing on Hard (cough cough). Phazon is here to. It hurts you until you get the Phazon Suit. This place is a perfect area for a Metroid. Impact Crater-Featured in METROID PRIME: This place is the final area of Metroid Prime. And yes you guessed it, the Metroid Prime lurks here. Nice name, not. This place is filled with the invincible Metroids and red Phazon which you can get hurt by. There's only two save spots here and it's pretty scary on account of those darn Metroids. Pretty cool huh. BIOLOGIC RESEARCH LABS Operations Deck;Docking Bays;Habitation Deck;Main Deck;Reactor Silo-Featured in METROID FUSION: All these areas are put together on the same map so I guessed I would just put them together, so people won't get confused. You know what I said about Maridia. I said it was one of the scariest places in the Metroid series. Well, this is the other "one" of the scariest places in the Metreoid series. An abandoned research ship, invaded by X parasites. And there is an extrememly strong X lurking there. Wo! Thats crazy!!! Metroid Fusion has the scariest areas. And this is one of them. You even face the SA-X here. Man! Sector 1 (SRX)-Featured in METROID FUSION: This sector reproduces the enviroment of planet SR388. It's kind of scary with a nice SR388 atmosphere. I'm not going to tell you much about this place because of obvious reasons. Sector 2 (TRO)-Featured in METROID FUSION: This sector is used to research creatures living in humid habitats. This place is like a Brinstar except there aren't much dead areas. It's not very scary. Atmosphere is humid so it's not very eerie. Sector 3 (PYR)-Featured in METROID FUSION: This sector is used to research creatures living in extremely hot habitats. This area has dangerous creatures. It's not scary except the fact that these enemies that can survive extremely hot tempetures. You don't come here a lot. But there are some interesting things in there. Sector 4 (AQA)-Featured in METROID FUSION: Sector 4 is used to research marine creatures. Not scary until you get to the boss area. You think hes going to be there but, what is this, hes not there. But in the next room the psyco comes out. Not that scary but tyhe electric water can become dangerous. Sector 5 (ARC)-Featured in METROID FUSION: This sector is used to research creatures living in extremely cold habitats. This place is the other only cold area in Metroid history. There are new X parasites here. Pretty cool huh. There are some seriously weird stuff in here. Sector 6 (NOC)-Featured in METROID FUSION: This sector is used to research nocturnal creatures. This place is pretty scary. I'm not going to give away a lot except that this place is awesome! There are all the areas of Metroid. Any comments on this section, tell me in the guestbook. |
