World of Peace, innovators in protecting the treaties and trade of the four worlds.
Read the history and basic information for Serma in the following text, or read about recent events behind the Pegasus.
Though Serma is called the world of peace, it seems that this world is on the verge of war at all times. The bloodline is always looking for a way to put the next in line on the throne, causing coups and counter coups through out the world’s history.
This world is mainly water, with the remains of a gigantic volcanoe being the only land above sea level. Here lies Crosh, the crown city of Serma and the place where the Tris lies.
Here also technology does not work, though magic is easy to come by. All beings born here have latent magic energy, and humans are most common, though Dwarves and even more rarely, sprites and halflings live here as well.
The Tris was born during the Patternfall war, prince Corwin of Amber had awoken the powers in an attempt to stop a wave of Chaos from enveloping the worlds and washing all order away.
The Pattern in Amber and the Logrus in Chaos combined together to wipe the Tris out, and the Balance Wars began. Tagon, a young military officer in the Chaosian army, used the Eye of the Serpent to wake the Kajiah in Tagon, creating the fourth power and successfully ending the Balance Wars.
The Tris will allow only those it chooses to attune with it. The person wanting to attune themselves must walk onto the surface of the Tris and allow it to pull them to it’s heart. There, the person must choose to place their hands upon the Tris’s heart, where the Tris will then use the Mana Vamp ability to drain both life and energy from the person until they resist or die. As with the Pattern, memories of past events play in the person’s mind, with the Tris explaining how to use the magic.
Travel through the worlds is done by opening a Vortex from one world to the other and walking between them. A fairly simple concept, and seen in the worlds that are between the two points as a large storm or heavy bank of fog.
People of the Serman bloodline have the ability to pull mana from any available source. The person using this “Mana Vamp” ability consentrates for one melee round on gathering mana, and all who are within range who have mana must roll percentile against the caster’s percentile to resist. 1d12/level is transferred to the caster from the lower percentile roller(s).
