As far as equipment goes, I started with a Squier Strat Pack, but upgraded a bit. I now have a Fender Roc-Pro 700 amp, though I'm still using the Stratoclone (with its crappy intonation (sp?)). Rather than go through every riff I can play, here's a general idea of what I'm capable of: ¤Power Chords ¤'Shifting' Power Chords, a la Alice In Chains' "God Smack" ¤Licks which don't require much hand movement, a la Nirvana's "All Apologies", Alice In Chains' "What The Hell Have I" and "Heaven Beside You", and Nobuo Eaumatsu's "Searching For Freinds". . . . OK, so it doesn't look like much, but that's a whole lot of riffs. =P I just recently started writing some simple riffs and licks of my own. . .I try to stay away from just using straight power chords, and I don't follow music theory or "what's right" in terms of riffing. Chromatics are technically 'wrong', but I use them. A root-fifth-tenth power chord is technically 'wrong', but it still sounds cool. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OK, more info about me. . . Um, to be continued.
