Forgotten Angel: Maybe someday the sun will rise again, We'll just have to wait and see, Until then we'll let them live the long night. And you know that eventually things will be the same, So while we wait we'll just have to be, Until the last one brings the light. The forgotten angel waits in the wings, Never truly gone. The hidden sky both screams and sings, While we try to move on. Maybe someday all your tears will go, And this desert will find it's rain, Sometimes we all need to feel it fall, Yet I just want to see them flow, It's easier to feel the pain, Sometimes we all need to ignore the call. But my forgotten angel cries me to sleep, Never truly gone. I pray to her my heart to kepp, While I try to carry on. Maybe someday we won't sink so deep, And we'll teach each other to survive, And leave behind the wall of everyone elses joy. There'll be no secrets we cannot keep: We'll join the ones pretending to be alive, And leave behind this washed-up girl and lonely boy. Still, my forgotten angel won't set me free, Because she's never truly gone. She get's lost in all I see, So why try to hold on? Maybe someday these dreams will fade, And everything will be clear, Because it can't be too late to wake. We'll say goodbye to this world decayed, Do you feel it? Tomorrow's near, And it can't be too late to breathe for breathing's sake, And the forgotten angel can fly at last, Deep down already gone. I'll let her be queen of my past, And together we'll move on.
