| Games for 2004 | ||||||||||||
| Gamecube owners should be pumping their fists in the air in the year 2004 as we can expect a plethora of great titles appearing on the console. Non-cube owning gamers should get one or risk the embarrisment of not having titles like Mario 128 and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicals. The only information anyone knows apart from Shigero Myiomoto himself is that the game might not come out on the Gamecube at all and might be a launch title for the 'N5' and has been in development since the first 3D mario game 'Mario 64'on the arguably ill-fated N64. By the time Crystal Chronicals rolls around you had better have at least three other friends each armed with a Game Boy Advance because this the new feature that Squaresoft are adding to the game. The only problem that I can see with this is that have you got three friends each with this equipment? No, I thought not, but if you have, you and your mates are too rich and should be tortured.Only kidding! One other game worth mentioning is the sequal to a stelth-em-up that went platinum on all formats.Thats right you know the one.It's Splinter cell.The news for the second in the series has been flowing at a steady pace but has now developed into a fountain of Knowledge, so to speak and we now no the game coming out in early 2004 called Splinter Cell Pandora Tommorow is rumered to be L.A.N. enabled.This will allow teams of up to 16 players to take on the enemy.For instance,you could lead a sensless guard out into the open for your freind to take a shot at him.Once again,there is a problem with this.Do you know 16 people with four T.V.S,16 controllers,and a room big enough to house them all?On the bright side,the game boasts an all new lighting engine that trumps the greatness of last years edition.Everything,including blades of grass move indepently,so If you happen to move the grass as you pass by,the swaying of It could give your position away to the enemy.If you want more infomation on It,check out my preview in that section.If It doesn't work,It's because I have'nt put It up yet.Fool! If I'm doing a section on games for 2004,I wouldn't be a true gamer If I didn't mention the welth of great R.P.Gs coming out in 2004.Games like Tales of Symphonia.This should be stunning for fans of the genra,but It's not in my personal taste. Also,the superb Harvest Moon promises hours of fun every day as you milk cows,throw a party,and even marry your girl friend,If you can get one that is.This should prove too tempting to pass up for people who didn't fall for the charms of The Sims. But who ever you are,2004 should be a great year for gamers,no matter the console!! |
