| Christmas Sugar Cookies |

Ingredients: 1 c. butter, softened 1 c. sugar 2 1/4 c. flour 2 eggs 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. almond extract Directions: Cream the butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Beat in the eggs, almond extract and vanilla until fluffy. In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder. Stir into the bowl with the creamed butter and sugar. Cover the cookie dough in plastic wrap or waxed paper and refrigerate for 6 hours. Roll out the dough with a flour-coated rolling pin to 1/4" thickness on a floured surface. Cut out the cookies with cookie cutters. Decorate. Baked on un-greased cookie sheets for 10-12 minutes at 375� until lightly browned. |
