The Japan Playboy magasine made an interview with Nintendo's biggest game designer, Shigeru Miyamoto. He said that there would be a sequel to Pikmin and a game based on the Mario demo from when the Gamecube was first unveiled.
He also promised to show something different from Super Mario Sunshine. It is the first confermation that Mario 128 and Pikmin 2 are actually being in development.
