Challenge:Notes: This is me presenting explanations and the premise. This is also me trying to get the groove back.
The urgency doubled for Rivka when she saw Edaline not too far ahead, walking with the crowd, further and further away from her. Two were the reasons to hurry now; if one was lost, so was the other. She pushed past clusters of standing people and waves of moving ones, but there was no progress to be spoken of. She was the same distance away from her objectives as before.
Don't walk away from me. Rivka was determined to get answers. She had been close to them too many times to have them flee from her again. After a minute, she noticed once again that Edaline seemed to move at the same pace she did. Rivka was starting to lose her breath. She slowed down, almost stopped.
Then Edaline turned her head to look over her shoulder, and Rivka could swear to the highest saint that the redhead saw her. It was the only explanation she could find for Edaline's sudden burst of speed. And certainly it was the reason for her own newfound strength.
The crowd seem to thicken, making it difficult for Rivka to get past it. Edaline's head was dipping in and out of view. If she persisted this way, Rivka would lose sight of her, maybe for good.
"Edaline!"
