There are lots of characters here, I must say. But that's only because I plan to make this 20+ chapters. So far, the basics have been layed out, and the only way I can make it really REALLY long is if I start writing it right now, when I myself don't know the details of the ending (and a few other things, at that), and make up a story arc to keep myself entertained and get myself used to the characters.
The only thing I'm missing is the actual design for the Coats. ^^; You'll all just have to wait if you're interested! ^_^

The sixteen-year-old genius who made it to this ever-famous university and found herself in the middle something huge! After witnessing a battle with a Gem, Ladea was recruited to work with the Jukaya scientists and technicians who are in charge of the Core Project. She's cheerful, energetic, smart, and a bit naive at times, but hey! She's still not a legal adult and is therefore liable to make the occasional stupid mistake! ^~ She wants to be an astronaut.

She's a nineteen-year-old attending the university, but she so happens to be the daughter of the current dean. She's not one to get along with many people because she's got a negative aura about her. Niara isn't bad — she just wants to make sure that her ancestor — the founder of the university — doesn't get what he set out to do, whatever that may be. She wants to be a flight technician for NASA.

No one really knows much about her, so rumors are common. Some say she's either very high or very low on the Core Project totem pole. Others believe she has some un-Earthly connection with Tetsuo Jukaya. And others still will tell you that she isn't human. The only things that are true about this mysterious woman are that she is rarely seen, and that if you happen to catch a glimpse of her, it'll likely be your last. She always wears lightly-tinted glasses and is bitter.

This friendly nineteen-year-old is Ladea's first friend at JU and just happens to be her roommate, too! She'd love to be a technician at NASA someday, but for now she's a tech for the Core Project. Her character sketches say that she's playful, a bit shy, and a fan of clothes with holes. ^_~ Swimming is her favorite non-JU related thing to do.
Cartier, Gary

This twenty-one-year-old is Niara's cousin (mother's side) and one who shares her views on the whole Core Project deal. He thinks Ladea's kinda cute and often fails to remember that she's sixteen. He's nice — if only he didn't seem so stuck up. He's on the Elite Force as a fighter.
Igaka, Carrol

Hair style: Low ponytail
She's an incredibly kind person on the Elite Force. Carrol is the one who gives Ladea a warm welcome into the project. ("Don't mind the others. They're scientists or technicians; they tend to get wrapped up in this so much that they often forget that humanity exists.") They're fast friends, but — technical difficulties encountered. Further information has been blocked by Core Project officials. Clearance code required.

He and Ladea were in the same twelvth grade class. He's your typical nice, clueless kid-next-door. Ladea relies on him for support when she finally encounters him on campus. However, since he's not with the project, he can't be told about it. But Masuo's such a nice guy, and I just wanna give him a hug right now!! He wears glasses and plans to major in a kind of engineering, hoping he'll get to work at NASA.
