AN:  The Renee-Emanov conversation.

When everyone in their table and most of the students in the lunchroom were gone, Emanov openly glared at Renee.

"What the hell are you doing," he demanded.

Renee looked at him silkily, smirking in her mysterious way.

"Just what we're supposed to do." She brought her hand out from her backpack pocket, zipped the pocket closed, and used that hand to brush some hair out of her face. "I was just noticing how you seem to have… forgotten why it is we're here."

He glared more deeply at her, letting out a short growl. She leaned forward, resting both her elbows on the table.

"Need I remind you why we're here… Emanov?" she asked, her voice lowering and her gaze unforgiving.

By then they were the only ones left in the large room. The bell rang.

In one swift motion, Emanov stood and slammed his hands into the table, palms down.

"I know exactly what we're doing here, Renee, but you know I need the light. Stop making up weird little ideas in your head."

Renee laughed darkly as she turned to pick up her backpack.

"I'll plant some flowers under the moon for you," she said. "What kind would you like?"

He gave her a hard stare. She stood. He sighed.

"White lilies," he said finally.

The violet-haired girl laughed.

"If that's what you want."

She walked away, the sound of her laughter fading before she exited the room.

Emanov sighed, making his hands tight fists.
