This is a PVC version of a potato gun. from the very begging you can see there is a 2 inch PVC pipe. it can range from 1foot-4feet. I prefer 3 feet but it doesnt matter a whole lot. It will just affect your range and power, not much costwise. As we move up you can see screws right before the reducer. these are used to stop the potato from falling in the combustion chamber. After that there is a 4" to 2" reducer. You may also use a 3" to 2" reducer but then your chamber has to be 3 inches. your chamber is the most importan part. It can be 1-4 feet. But 4 is a little to long. It can also be 4 inches or 3 inches. Get any bigger and the explosion will start to burn. You usually want your chamber to be black so it reduces heat. and install a BBQ lighter in the middle of it so you can fire your potato. Top it off with a blocker. I use a sewer plug.
Assembly
First you need to buy your supplies. You will need a 4 or 3 inch black PVC pipe, preferably 1-2 feet. a 4/3" to 2" PVC reducer, a 2" PVC pipe 2-4 feet long. screws, BBQ lighter, some sort of plig, and tools.
Once you have all your supplies you take your chamber and stick it in the reducer, then put the barrel in the other end of the reducer. Duct tape them both on the reducer. then put several screws in the bottom of the barrel to stop the potato. If you sharpen the end of the barrel its easier to core the potato. Then install a BBQ lighter into the chamber. After that make sure your stopper fits nicely into place.
Ready for shooting
Ok so your finally ready to test this baby out. First make sure you have no holes besides the one at the end of the barrel. Next find a place to shoot. When your done that, Take a potato and shove it down the barrel. Use a broom handle to make sure the potato goes all the way down till it reaches the screws. Then unscrew the stopper and spray some hairspray in the chamber. You may also use WD-40. Then aim at your target (make sure its not a huma) press the button on the BBQ lighter and watch that potato fly.
I made this picture so dont try to
say i stole this from a site.
