War of Six Kingdoms, The
In 1202OE, Saskia was home to six elvish clans (Tehal, Panaro, Shakotal, Erienne, Winarin and Canderin) under the rule of a hereditary king. But upon the death of King Lohatan, his son, Sehwah, was only 2 cycles old. Clan politics began to devolve into bitter infighting as Lohatan's nephew, Paksaw, became a cruel and despotic regent. During many attempts at rebellion, Paksaw lost control of the lands outside of his native Tehalish realms and open war broke out between the clans.

For 22 cycles, each clan fought against all others, and hundreds of thousands of elves were lost in the slaughter. In 1224OE, however, Sehwah deposed Paksaw and had him killed. His reconciliatory actions managed to pull the Panaro, Shakotal and Erienne clans under his rule, but the Winarin and Canderin clans joined forces and denounced the Saskin king.

United now against a common enemy, Sehwah and the rest of his kingdom managed to defeat the Canderin and Winarin armies in what is now termed the Alvey, the Great Elf War. Once he had control of their lands, rather than execute every Winarin and Canderin for treason, Sehwah instead banished the two clans from the isle of Saskia for all eternity, claiming that no non-Saskin elf was to ever step foot upon the land again.

Massive fleets were built, and in 1227OE, the two defeated clans began their journey north to the mainland of Locanda and Avena, with the Winarin finally settling on the Winisk Peninsular, and the Canderins settling in the far eastern land now known as Canderesse.
