FIRE  AT MARTIN HOME  KILLS  TWO SIMMERSET SIMS
Betty Newbie Promotes Community Fire Safety
Betty Newbie, widow of Bob Newbie has begun her tireless efforts to promote better fire safety in the Simmerset community.  She has been encouraging Sims to install fire alarms not only in homes nears stoves and fireplaces, but outdoors near barbeque grills or any other devices which may prove to be incendiary.

The importance of fire alarms outside has had very little attention paid to it in the Sim community and she plans to undertake the task of informing Sims of this oversight.
Bob Newbie and Cary Walker perished in a massive fire started by a barbeque grill at the Martin home during one of their house parties.  The fire not only ended the lives of two prominent Simmerset Sims, but also destroyed a large part of the home and much of the outdoor garden area.  The fire was put out in a heroic battle against the blaze by Robert Tysen Martin and Christopher Martin who fought the fire with great risk to their lives.
Bob Newbie was pursuing a military career, and Cary Walker was a wealthy international spy who had recently retired to Simmerset.  Their deaths brought several days of mourning to the community where neighborhood Sims gathered at their memorials to weep for the departed Sims.  Their deaths galvanized the community into efforts to promote fire safety in Sim homes, with Betty Newbie, becoming instrumental in the fight to inform Sims of the dangers of outdoor fires.
The Martins report that since their deaths, the Martin home is haunted by the ghosts of the men who are buried on the property.  Members of the household report that the two make nightly walks thru the home waking family members and scaring guests who come to visit.
Simmerset Welcomes New Residents into Community
   Bob Newbie
Molly McTavish has recently moved into No.8  Simmerset Road and was welcomed into the neighborhood by several visitors.  She is a single attractive redhead and many of Simmerset's eligible bachelors have invited her downtown on dates.  She has made a few friends but has not yet committed to a relationship.

Nickie McTavish, is the sister of Molly.  Their home was designed by George Phillip Martin.

It was quick thinking by one of Simmerset's newest residents, Molly McTavish that saved George Phillip Martin from drowning in her swimming pool during a party she threw to celebrate her arrival in the neighborhood.  George was having so much fun swimming that he did not realize he was getting so tired he was to the point of falling asleep.  It was Miss McTavishes' quick thinking in ordering a Turkey meal that got him out of the pool where he promptly fell asleep after exiting on dry ground.  He missed the dinner which other guests enjoyed but he escaped with his life.  George Phillip Martin serves as the neighborhood spokesman for the Simmerset community at SUN  and had it not been for Molly's presence of mind, the community would have had the sad task of electing a new one.
SIM SAFETY TIPS
Hello I am Christopher Martin and I am here to give my fellow Sims some safety tips based on my own personal experience.  I have elected to help Betty Newbie in her concern for Sim safety.

     1.  Have outdoor fire alarms in all your houses.  We Sims have the tendency to panic once a fire starts and an outdoor alarm would immediately call the fire department.

     2.  Keep a watchful eye on your Sims in swimming pools.  Sims have a tendency to enjoy them so much that they will stay in the pool unless something better is presented to them.  A meal may entice them from a certain death.  And make sure you have lots of ramps from the pool.  A tired Sim may give up trying to find the few that are already there.

Those are my two safety tips for now based on personal experience and remember also that calling the fire department by phone is preferable to fighting the fire yourself!
