MAYA JAGGER

Maya Jagger lives, draws, paints, gardens and writes in Camden East, Ontario.  She is an avid traveler who has caught intriguing glimpses of the culture of the Amazon rain forest while journeying in South America.  Shamanism, a belief system that explores the connections between the cosmos, nature and humans has intensely influenced Maya's most recent images.

While her art has always expressed joy in the outer natural world, Maya's best work reflects a deeper interest in the transformative power of symbolic objects, animals and totems.  Her recent oil pastels evoke an inner dream state that explores archetypes of transcendence.

Maya has shown her work in Toronto and Eastern Ontario and is a member of  the Organization of Kingston Women's Artists.
