| According to the HBDI inventory, I have a strong learning preference on thinking. Some of my strong learning styles are hands on. I try to think of many ways to figure out situations on a problem. I try to analyze what I am doing. For example, when I am in math class and we have learned a difficult problem, I go through all the steps in my head and then writing them down on paper. I try to find the right possible answers that are in the problems I am doing. | |||||||||||||||
| According to the VARK inventory, I have a strong aural learning preference.. When listening to a lecture, a good way of learning it better is to use a tape recorder. When I am trying to collect information I like to have someone help me to know it better. One of my strengths in learning a lecture is to teach it to someone else. Another way for me to understand and collect information is to go to a quiet place and read out the information. | |||||||||||||||
| When learning in my English 109 class it is more on lectures and discussions. I can relate to this class on my VARK learning style of aural. Some of my strengths that I understand in this class are that there are a lot of diagrams that help me. They are more of visual, but the professor explains them. A good way that will help in this class will be to use a tape recorder, for all of my professors lectures. You can tape a lecture and listen to it in your study time and listen to it over and over again, so you can understand it. | |||||||||||||||
| When learning in my English 01class there are a lot of essay that makes you think. HBDI learning style is thinking. So a lot of times when I am writing an essay I have to think of different topics and other things that relate to it. You have to focus yourself on the situations that are given to you that involve thinking. There are many times when I had to think of something fast on my essay so I can be ready to finish on time. | |||||||||||||||
| If I had a professor that taught a class that related to the HBDI innovating style, then I will not be very successful. I am not a person that trusts intuitive senses or inner vision. I need to learn on thinking or doing style. If I had a professor that taught in a innovating style, then I must adapt to it. I must have an imagination or an intuition that will help me learn a lecture or situations better. If it is a learning style that is like this then I must work a lot harder to adapt and understand the professor's styles. | |||||||||||||||
| I have learned in my HBDI and VARK learning style, that it is important to know that I can learn in my own way. Through these learning processes, it helped me to know my learning style, and how I can use it in my classes. It is good that I can use these learning styles in my classes for the professors that teach. These processes help me to know what my professors teaching styles are. Knowing my learning styles are has helped me to succeed in my studies in my classes. | |||||||||||||||
