I:HISTORY of ACSAT

The year was 1972 when founders of ACSAT, Mr.ConstancioA.Sia and Mrs.Gloria D. Sia, started a company that manufactures streo systems, the UNITED AUDIO,INC.(U.A.I)UNITED AUDIO ,INC.To meet the demands of the industry,U.A.I saw the neeeded of hiring employees with experience in electronics for their production line.And so Mrs.Sia concieved of an idea to future employees of U.A.I.. Thus, ASIAN INTITUTE of ELECTRONIC(A.I.E)was establish.A.I.E and U.A.I used to located at the 5th Floor Prudential Bank Building,Cubao,Quezon City.. Eventually,U.A.I transferred its manufacturing operations to Caniogan,Pasig to give way to the increasing population of A.I.E students. A.I.E started with only five(5)classrooms.By 1980's, A.I.E was already occupying 3rd,4th,5th,& 6th floors of the Prudential Bank Bldg. to accomodate the sudden increase of enrolles.The 80's saw the expansion of its branches together with relevant course offering.Since its conception up to May 1995,A.I.E was classified as a technical-vocational school.. In June 1995, however A.I.E was converted into full fledged college,now, ASIAN COLLEGE of SCIENCE and TECHNOLOGY(ACSAT)..

To equip graduates with globally relevant knowlegde and skills though excellent training and innovative people management.

To be the leading educational institution of choice dedicated to the success of its graduetes.

IV:OBJECTIVES

1.Offer relevant courses including but not limited to scienceses, technical and health-related courses utilizing global stsndards in system preparation tailored to address present and future needs of society.

2.Provie opportunities for higher learning

3.Provide knowlegde through extensive research thereafter ensuring the acquisition of expertise requisite in cultural,social and economic developing scientific and technological research

4.Promote the understanding, interpretaion,preservation,enhancement of nationa, and regional,international and historic culture.

5.Help preserve and enhance positive Filipino values.

6.Contribute to the development and improvement of Philippine higher education.
