| Earth is quarantined because of the Drakh plague, many on it are dying, and in 5 years, the world will be wiped out, there's only one hope left, Captain Matthew Gideon has been assigned to command a ship responsible to find a cure for the Drakh plague, the victory class prototype, Excalibur, but before they start, they need the right people, they have Dr Sarah Chambers, a medical doctor,Dureena Nafeel, a thief and lock pick(already introduced in "Babylon 5: A Call To Arms").The Excalibur goes to a planet called Ceti 4, in which they believe that one of the drakh ships that were responsible for spreading the drakh plague has crashed there, with the help of an xenoarcheologist and linguist called Maximillion Eilerson, they find the crash site and catches the Drakh captain of the ship, but the Drakh has reinforcements, and the Excalibur fights their first battle with the Drakh and wins. Eilerson signs on to the Excalibur under the request of Gideon. Later, Gideon receives something that reminds him of his past, he goes to the source of the signal, and there he meets Galen, a technomage ( also introduced in "Babylon 5: A Call To Arms") who promises Gideon that he would help him find a cure.
