| The Excailbur receives a call for help from an Earth Alliance ship orbiting a planet called Regula 4.Earth Alliance transport ships are being attacked by a dragon in Regula 4, the inhabitants are humans who have given up technology and lives as cowboys(and girls),among them is an old friend of Galen's, his name is Alwyn, a technomage,he has been the one behind the attacks of the ship because he feels that he has an obligation to protect his home from the Earth Alliance who are strip mining the place, Gideon followed by Galen goes down to the planet to check things out, the people there are not happy with their presence but Alwyn convinces them that Gideon and Galen are frineds.While they try to talk things out, the villagers has taken things into their own hands, they kidnapped the workers at the mine and threatens to kill them if they don't stop,a team of rescuers are sent down but they too become under captivity,Alwtyn tells them to let the hostages go but they refuses to do so, so Alwyn goes to the mine and threatens to destroy the Earth Alliance ship if they don't stop mining but the Excalibur is forced to shoot him before Alwyn shoots the other ship,it turns out that it was all a bluff, it was only an illusion,Alwyn is still very alive while everybody thinks he's dead(except Gideon and Galen) and he now wishes to abondon home to explore the stars.
