Tips, Finding Materials

Probably one of the most important aspect to building a telescope you will encounter is the materials you will use to build it. A great deal of thought should go into what kind of wood, metals or other materials that will suit your situation. Mine was making my scope compact enough to fit in the back trunk of my Toyota corolla. Pretty small for a 13.1 inch scope. I choose low profile and ignored the proper standards of center balancing the scope over adding a weight system to compensate for its design. This allowed me to have a compact 13 inch high rocker and mirror box neatly packed together.
