Romeo is a black standard poodle who joined Galaxy Kennels in 1999. At the time I was working as a groomer. Romeo and his mother had been clients of mine. Their owner brought them back in after I had not seen either for awhile. Both were badly matted. Romeo's owner confessed that he did not have enough time to take care of both dogs and that he was planning on taking Romeo to the pound. I said that I would take Romeo and he came home with me that day.

I have thought of training Romeo for obedience competition, but have yet to find the time. It would take some work, as Romeo has had no real training of any sort. While he is not yet leash broken, he is getting very good about coming when called and truly enjoys running in the exercise yards.

Romeo has found a new home with a wonderful family of EIGHT(!!) children! He thinks he has gone to heaven as does the special young man with whom he bonded instantly. Romeo sleeps with his new young master and is learning the ropes of living in a house.
