The Hamlet soliloquy is my favorite of Shakespeares (followed closely by Othello's ending one). So, having it in mentioned within Eliot's poem inspired me to write my own poem combining the two characters--as I see it! So, be nice with your critical views--i.e. do not be as critical as T.S. Eliot!
to be
or not,
to dream or sleep,
in thoughts of love
and death.
the same, yet new,
with backs turned
and years traveled
over no love of mine.
for to be, yet not,
is a question
i bring without
self; i and you
are one,
yet, to
be or not
is never
an answer.
