Xander rushed ahead of the others even the old man seemed to be able to keep up.
He had shortly been inroduced to the five men. Remus Lupin, Sirius Black, Severus Snape, Lucius Malfoy and Albus Dumbledore. The others had stayed at Giles‘ to prepare for another apocalypse.
Like always.
Suddenly Lupin seemed to halt and sniff around ‚Werewolf‘ his mind screamed.
And really his eyes seemed to glow like Oz’s did when he was excited.
Just a few minutes later they could see the others. At first they saw Tara standing there glowing in a pure white light, so pure that no Vampire other than Spike could go near her. That had tested her shields of Protection beforehand so she wouldn‘t hurt him.
Then there was Spike whirling around and dusting left and right while howling with excitment.
Oz was half transformed and ripping Vampires with his claws.
Riley lay a bit to the left but Xander could see Tara’s shield surounding him.
„If someone of you is evil you should stay away from Tara.“ Giles warned them and rushed into the battle with Xander at his heels.
Albus went over to the fallen boy/young man to strenghten the shield the nature witch had around him.
Remus howled and went into battle with Sirius at his side. Lucius fired random spells at Vampires while Severus was preoccupied with the nature witch.
She was a thing of beauty. Standing calmly in the middle of the bloodshed, glowing with an inner strength that no other could ever posses.
So Severus went to her as she saw her own shield vanishing, trying to protect her friends even before her own life.
As he lay a hand on her shoulder he felt her tense up but relax just as quickly. ‚She must have realised that no evil could touch her with the remaining glow.‘
„Be at peace. My name is Severus. I am a friend of Rupert. We are here to help.“
Without breaking her focus she turned her head and looked at him.
„I don’t know how long I can hold the shields. They are moving too fast...“ what a sweet voice she had. A bit shy but strong nonetheless.
„When you allow it I would give you a bit of my magic. I am a wizard but can’t support your spell directly because of differences in our maic. You are a nature witch and I am not.“
„How will that work?“
„Just concentrate on your friends and you will feel my energy entering you.“ Oh how he wanted to enter her! And never leave again... Never before had he felt this way about anyone.
„ok. I am ready“ Tara was blushing. The man behind her was really handsome and his dark smooth voice was vibrating in her very soul.
She felt his hands entwining with her own and even while concentrating she could feel his body intimately touching her own. Then there was a pulse of pure magic between them and she felt her knees grow weak.
Severus felt the girl trembling as their magic joined and lean on him. So much trust in him was rare and he appreciated it from her.
The shields were stronger than ever and there weren’t many Vampires left. Remus looked with caution over to Oz who did the same before slowly coming closer with open hands. No agression seemed to be between the two because they nodded and then turned around to look at the others.
Spike just finished off the last Vamp and turned to look at the others. He had seen Xander and Giles arrive with the strangers so Spike knew that they had to be friends. Then he saw the old man standing beside Riley.
„Albus Dumbledore?!?!“
„Yes, William. It is good to see you.“
