Thoughts from Shaun Charney

The following are Shaun Charneys thoughts on his new series
Haywire Chronicles and the future of manga artist in America.

"The Haywire Chronicles title that I am doing is a story told
in the fashion of Japanese manga-style storytelling. The same
holds true to the way that the artwork is presented in the book.
The advantage to this is that it contributes to the high influence
that manga has over the rapidly growing fans. The Japanses style
artwork is and has been reaching an all-time high in the comic
book industry within the U.S. and some other parts of the world
as well."

"With the ever increasing popularity of Japanese style storytelling
and artistry, leaping into such a world for aspiring artist and
writers (such as myself) have a chance to potentially bask in a
moment of glory, weither long or short, if they hold stronge to their
ability and remain determined, faithful, and dedicated to their work
and the fans. Those who always stand fast with a positive outlook are
those who are sure to have a strong following and influence."

"Of corse, what separates the men from the boys are those who are
willing to be different and are daring to try new styles to their
method of storytelling and artistry. There are a lot of aspiring
manga artists out there who unfortunately fall under the category
of mediocrity becasue they fail to be different from other peoples
styles and are not entirely dedicated to their own talent. I am
sorry to see so many artists out there who are shadows of each other,
and poor shadows at that. I would like to see them push for the next
level. Artists like those can easily earn my respect and interest
for there work. I would like to think that I am one of those people."

"I have on a daily basis been trying new things. The result-- some
have wound up being great pieces, whereas others have potenial.
In short, I want to say that I believe that I can be faithful enough
to interest to adapt to the changing times while stil remaining true
to my abilities."

"The Haywire series has greatly served as a tool for me as I begin
my ambitions to introduce my work to the media and to the large
followers of anime/manga. It is my desire to bring entertainment
and enjoyment to thers, but most of all, inspire others to grow in
their own talents."

God Bless to you all,
Shaun R. Charney
