Biography
He spent his first 3 months in training to become a gunner. He was stationed on the Imperial Star Destroyer Avenger. He went about his daily duties with contentment, he enjoyed his work in the Navy, but he did want more. After another 6 months of serving aboard the Avenger, and a few promotions, he was accepted to the pilot academy. He spent 2 months there, getting the best pilot training the Empire had to offer. He excelled at his tests and was already a Petty Officer First Class. He did a short stint as a flight team leader in a TIE squadron and was later promoted to Master Chief Petty Officer and was in charge of the Squadron.
He was starting to be noticed, and his superiors asked if he was interested in his own command, a small one, but hopefully a good one. He accepted and was placed in charge of the 76th Fighter Squadron and even had a detachment of stormtroopers, the 82nd Stormtrooper Detachment. As his unit grew, he and his XO, Odum Cresting, were sent off to OCS and trained as officers. After spending a month there, they were officially commissioned as Lieutenants.
Awari was shot down one day, and gravely injured while protecting a transport from terrorists. He lost his left eye and the majority of his lower half. He was sent to the Emperor's personal research facility on a planet called Wayland. There he was transformed into a cyborg; he was a prototype trooper, a combination Dark Trooper/Human. After a few months and several upgrades, he was summoned to Naboo. The Emperor had called in his best doctors, cyberneticists, and geneticists. They, through cloning replacement parts, and crafting syntheflesh copies, managed to repair him and make him nearly whole and human again. Everything is real flesh except his left eye, his right leg from the mid-thigh down, and his left leg from the knee down. They are still cybernetic enhancements.
But the Emperor, for some unknown reason, still seems to favor his unit. He decreed, through the proper channels, that the 76th Fighter Squadron and 82nd Stormtrooper Detach combine into one elite, Special Forces unit, the 76th Storm Commando Regiment. He was issued a special new set of armor, said to be Royal Dark Commando armor, named after the creations he was the prototype for. It bears the color red, the personal color of the Emperor's guards and he was even given a Crimson TIE Interceptor. He also has an inkling that partly the Emperor's attention is focused on at least one other member of his unit...but he cannot figure out why.
Since his failures in after the Battle of Carida, Awari Wiri was lucky to escape with his life. He was surprised the Emperor didn't exact more of a punishment. Officially demoted to Captain and stripped of his command and his unit was disbanded. His confidence in his command has been shaken, thus he has been trained as a sniper, silently killing on his own in service of the Empire.
